One more year—and it’s been quite a few since 2008—the staff at CentreQCI has participated in the Master’s in Cosmetics and Dermopharmacy organized by CESIF, delivering laboratory practical sessions.
They have explained various techniques for characterizing colloidal systems, such as light scattering and diffraction to determine the particle size of different formulations, contact angle on hair, and the rheology of various cosmetic products.
They have also covered phase behavior in surfactant systems and different emulsification techniques to obtain systems with varied final properties. We hope the students have learned a lot and enjoyed the sessions.
